Ready

My sweet son is starting his law studies tomorrow at the University of Miami.

I have spent the last part of this rather tumultuous summer preparing for this fact and the changes that it means for our family.

I've watched Bad Boys I and Bad Boys II.
Several times.

I read, and re-read, several John Grisham novels.

And last night, in a bit of supreme planning by the cable networks, I was able to view Legally Blonde
.

Steven and Dale, ready for the cave!

Steven has also spent the summer preparing for this big step. He's read several books about outlining and other skills that will be so important that first year. He and Dale made a quick trip to Miami during the latter part of July and found a great two bedroom apt with an even greater roommate! And he completed financial aid forms that will basically keep him working hard for the next 30 years.

Today is "reading day" for first year (L1) law students at UofM.

My sweet son opened his email this morning to find his reading assignments.

He has to read an entire book!
And then some!
Today!

Oh dear...I hope he's ready!

Wow, it is that time already! Seems like just a few weeks ago that you posted that he was accepted. It is so hard to let them go. When my daughter went to grad school I was so proud and so sad at the same time. He will do great and you will be even prouder of him. One of my proudest days was seeing my daughter graduate from MIT with a Masters in Chemical Engineering. Kids are just amazing.
