The place where my mom works does yearly fundraising. A committee at her work picks a charity and sets up various fundraising activities, and then the profits from this campaign are sent to the chosen charity.
This year they chose to support the von Hippel Lindau Family Alliance!
Today was the first barbque fundraiser of the year, and we couldn't be happier to attend!
For a very small fee, we feasted on hamburgers, hotdogs, beans, chips, and ice cream.
I can't even begin to express how thankful I am that people have taken this cause to heart. But to everyone involved in helping us find a cure for our son, please know that your kindness touches my heart and is appreciated a million time over!
Mary was definitely happy to be there also...she just was not happy with the picture!
